Candidate Endorsements
This November, we have the chance to put leaders in office who will actually fight for our democracy and our community, not just talk about it.
In June 2026, I-915 leadership voted to endorse the candidates listed below. We believe each of them will take real action for the progressive priorities we're organizing around, and we're asking our community to stand behind them too.

Veronica Escobar
U.S. House of Representatives, TX-16
Indivisible the 915 is proud to endorse the Congresswoman Veronica Escobar for re-election to the United States House of Representatives.
Since first being elected to Congress, Escobar has been a tireless advocate for the people of El Paso and a leading voice for democratic values, economic opportunity, and border communities. Her leadership has helped secure critical investments in infrastructure, public health, economic development, and veterans' services while consistently fighting to protect voting rights, reproductive freedom, and immigrant families.
As one of the most influential voices representing border communities in Washington, Escobar has worked to advance practical solutions on immigration, strengthen economic opportunities for working families, and ensure that El Paso's priorities are heard at the national level.
Indivisible the 915 recognizes Escobar's consistent record of standing up for democracy, promoting equity, and advocating for policies that improve the lives of everyday Texans. Her commitment to public service and her responsiveness to constituents have earned her the trust and respect of voters throughout the region.
"Veronica Escobar understands the challenges facing our community because she is part of this community. Her leadership reflects the resilience, diversity, and strength of El Paso. We are proud to support her re-election and look forward to mobilizing volunteers and voters to help continue her work in Congress." - Susan Urbieta, I-915 Founding Member

James Talarico
Unites States Senate - TX
Indivisible the 915 is proud to endorse Texas State Representative James Talarico for the Unites States Senate.
As a former public school teacher, community leader, and advocate for working families, Talarico has built a reputation for bringing people together, standing up to political corruption, and fighting for the values that matter most to Texans. His campaign has focused on protecting democracy, strengthening public education, expanding economic opportunity, and ensuring that government works for everyday people - not wealthy special interests.
Indivisible the 915 believes that Talarico's message of bringing together Democrats, Independents, and disaffected Republicans reflects the broad coalition necessary to move Texas forward. His ability to connect with voters across political divides has made him one of the most compelling voices in Texas politics today.
This endorsement reflects Indivisible the 915's commitment to electing leaders who will protect democratic institutions, defend voting rights, and champion policies that improve the lives of working families across Texas.
"The future of Texas depends on leaders who are willing to put people before politics." - Connie Crawford, I-915 Founding Member

Gina Hinojosa
Governor of Texas
Indivisible The 915 is proud to endorse State Representative Gina Hinojosa for Governor of Texas. As Texas prepares for a pivotal general election, our Indivisible chapter recognizes Gina Hinjoas as the progressive champion that we need in Austin. Gina will put everyday Texas families first, ahead of billionaire corporate interests.
Gina has shown her grit and her dedication to working families every day during her 10 years of service in the Texas House of Representatives. Representative Gina Hinojosa is a champion for working Texans. From her time as a civil rights lawyer to her battles in the Texas House against school voucher scams, she has always shown the courage to fight back.
Representative Hinojosa has centered her campaign around issues important to El Pasoans:
Healthcare: A healthcare system that is accessible and affordable to all Texans. Rein in the profits of insurance companies and big pharma.
Quality Public Education: Neighborhood schools and teacher pay take priority over private school vouchers for the wealthy.
Affordability for Working families: Investing in lower housing, grocery, and utility costs, instead of giving business incentives to corporate investors.
Representative Hinojosa Understands our Border Community; as El Paso sees its public schools faltering and as we work to resist the horrific and inhumane housing of thousands of human beings in warehouses at Camp East Montana, Representative Hinojosa stands with us. El Paso deserves a Governor who listens to us and understands our unique realities as a cross-border community.
