ABOUT
Indivisible the 915

WHO WE ARE
Indivisible the 915 (I-915) is a volunteer-led, grassroots organization based in El Paso, Texas. We are part of the national Indivisible movement, and organize locally to protect democracy and defend our community's rights.
OUR STORY
I-915 started in March 2025, when a small group of friends decided they couldn't just watch from the sidelines. Alarmed by Trump's second-term election and concerned about whether our democracy would survive it, they came together to do something about it. What began as a handful of concerned neighbors has grown into an organized, active group fighting for El Paso.
We remain an organic, locally-rooted organization. Our priorities are shaped by what our community needs, not by a national playbook.
WHAT WE'RE FOCUSED ON
Our Priorities
1. Electing progressive leaders. We work to elect progressive candidates at the local, state, and national level who will fight for real democracy and protect our community's rights.
2. Shutting down the East Montana Detention Facility. We are working to close Camp East Montana, the ICE detention facility operating on Fort Bliss land. Opened in August 2025, the facility has already drawn scrutiny over detainee deaths and human rights concerns. We believe it should not exist, and we're organizing to shut it down.
3. Stopping new detention centers in our area. We're on watch for any new attempts to open immigrant detention facilities in El Paso County and the surrounding region. DHS recently dropped plans for a proposed mega-facility near Socorro, a win we take seriously, but not as the end of the fight. We remain vigilant against future proposals.
